Phillip Rodger joins Orchard Street as a new partner

Orchard Street Investment Management LLP, a leading UK specialist commercial property investment manager, today announces that Phillip Rodger, currently a Regional Director of Jones Lang LaSalle, based in London, will join the firm as a full Partner on 1st October 2008.

Phillip Rodger will become Head of Asset Management at Orchard Street, and will also join the Investment Committee of the firm with more general responsibilities. Phillip has been a senior asset management Director at Jones Lang LaSalle for some years, most recently establishing and leading delivery of those services across Europe, and acting for some of the firm’s largest UK investment clients in that role. He was previously responsible for Jones Lang LaSalle’s property management business across the EMEA region. Prior to that Phillip was a Director at LaSalle Investment Management.

Orchard Street has recently also recruited Barney Rowe from Goodman as Fund Manager of the newly created UK Special Situations Fund, launched in March this year with £100m of subscribed equity, largely provided by an affiliate of GIC, the Government of Singapore investment organisation.

Both new appointments result from the growth in the size and breadth of the Orchard Street business. At the present time, Orchard Street has discretionary funds under management, including up to £400m of funds available for investment, of c£1.7bn.

Both Barney and Phillip will help us in these ambitions.”
