Orchard Street attracts leading retailers to St Catherine's Walk, Carmarthen, following successful repositioning of shopping centre

Orchard Street Investment Management (‘Orchard Street’), the specialist commercial property investment manager, has attracted a number of leading UK retailers to St Catherine's Walk in Carmarthen, Wales, following a successful repositioning of the open air shopping centre by Orchard Street’s asset management team.

As the dominant shopping and leisure destination in South Wales, St Catherine's Walk is in demand with retailers and shoppers alike, leading Orchard Street to engineer vacancies at the asset over the past five years in order to increase the quality of tenants located at the Debenhams-anchored centre. Currently fully-let, the latest new arrival was Joules clothing store which recently took occupation of a 1,550 sqft unit, coming shortly after Paperchase and The Entertainer toy shop.

The 236,000 sq ft modern, open air shopping centre, which acts as an extension to Carmarthen’s High Street, is now home to a wide variety of leading retailers - including Topshop, H&M and Next - across 21 units, which operate alongside a Vue cinema and seven nationwide food outlets. St Catherine’s Walk draws seven million visitors from across Wales annually, who can easily access the centre by bus, rail or by car, availing of its 950-space carpark.
