Orchard Street lettings to Apple and The Real China at St Catherine's Walk Shopping Centre, Carmarthen

Orchard Street Investment Management, the specialist commercial property investment manager, has secured two new lettings with Apple retailer Stormfront Retail and The Real China, a leading Chinese buffet restaurant, at St Catherine’s Walk Shopping Centre in Carmarthen.

A 10 year lease was signed by Stormfront for a 4,270 sq ft retail unit that will trade as Apple. The store will be the third location in Wales to attract the popular technology brand after Cardiff and Swansea. The Real China has agreed a 15 year lease on 3,200 sq ft with the restaurant expected to open in September. The rents achieved were reflective of the towns improving status as a major retail hub within the region.

Since opening in 2010 the scheme has attracted a number of high quality fashion retailers such as Debenhams, Next, River Island, New Look, Topman, Topshop, Phase Eight, Country Casuals and East, and sports fashion brands such as Quiksilver and Cotswold.

"The reference to Apple on the hoarding created a real buzz around the centre, even before the Stormfront store opened. Likewise, we anticipate that The Real China will be a strong addition to the leisure offering at the centre, where the Apollo Multiplex cinema and the existing Frankie and Bennys, Pizza Express, Toby Carvery and Harvester are proving to be a big attraction, drawing clients from a large catchment area."
