Orchard Street sign Siemens plc at J4 Camberley

23 July 2015

Orchard Street Investment Management (‘Orchard Street’), the specialist commercial property investment manager, has completed its first letting at the J4 Park in Camberley.

Siemens PLC, the multinational blue-chip company, has signed a five-year lease on unit 3 of the J4 Park, which comprises 7,662 sq ft of industrial space. Siemens’ arrival brings J4 to 85% let, with units 5 (7,658 sq ft) and 6 (7,978 sq ft) available to let individually or combined.

J4 Park comprises a 108,124 sq ft freehold multi-let industrial estate, holding a prime position 35 miles south west of central London. The park was originally acquired on behalf of St James’s Place in December 2014 as part of a portfolio of six distinct industrial estates in the UK’s South East region, known as the ‘Orbital Portfolio’.

Jamie Munday,Asset Manager at Orchard Street, commented:

“We consider that a letting to a tenant of Siemens’ pedigree reflects the high quality nature of industrial accommodation at J4 Camberley. The industrial and warehouse market in the Blackwater Valley remains buoyant and we expect this latest letting to provide us with the impetus to attract further tenants to the remaining vacant units at this estate. Furthermore, the strong level of tenant demand for our properties across the Orbital Portfolio offers exciting prospects for future income growth through effective asset management.”

Hurst Warne and Knight Frank acted for Orchard Street and Siemens were advised by Rapleys.
