Orchard Street creates new role with Lora Brill joining as Head of Responsibility & ESG
Orchard Street Investment Management (‘Orchard Street’), the specialist commercial property investment manager, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lora Brill as its dedicated Head of Responsibility and ESG. Lora joins from JLL Upstream Sustainability Services where she was a strategic sustainability consultant, advising a wide range of property companies over the last 10 years. Lora brings two decades of international experience in property and sustainability to her new role at Orchard Street, having worked across Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
Philip Gadsden, Managing Partner at Orchard Street said: “In recent years social and environmental responsibility has become embedded in every aspect of how we operate as a business and how we manage our clients’ capital. These days it almost feels like the minimum requirement for a development scheme is to be able to be carbon neutral in operation – indeed our recent industrial scheme in Surrey is designed to operate precisely on those terms - and has proven highly popular in the occupier market because of its environmental considerations. There is much more both for our industry and our business to achieve as we build towards a Net Zero Carbon world and so we are very pleased to have attracted to our business someone with Lora’s experience and passion. Having been advised by her team for many years whilst she was at Upstream, we are now greatly looking forward to working with her as a colleague as we navigate our own pathway towards lower carbon emissions and creating more social benefit from the buildings we manage”.
