Orchard Street appoints Philip Gadsden as Managing Partner

Orchard Street Investment Management LLP, the specialist commercial property investment manager, announces the appointment of Philip Gadsden as Managing Partner, from 1 January 2014.

Philip joined the Orchard Street partnership in May 2013, and has been heavily involved in the investment programme of the Firm since that time – which has turned over £550 million of transactions this year. He has also worked closely with Gary Felce and Chris Bartram in strategy formulation for clients, and in areas of new business planning.

The appointment will give Philip the management of the Firm, under the continued Chairmanship of Chris Bartram, and with the support and assistance of the other five Partners.

Orchard Street currently has in the region of £3.5 billion of client assets under management, and specialises in working for major investing institutions, UK and overseas in origin. The Firm was founded in 2004 by Chris, Gary Felce, and David Lee, and now has a total team of 21 people, all based in London.

Chris Bartram, Chairman of Orchard Street said: “We all felt very fortunate to have attracted Philip to the Firm earlier this year, and he has made a considerable contribution to the business since that time. His experience in business management elsewhere gives him a perfect background to lead our business, as well as to work in a broad range of client services alongside the other six Partners.

“This appointment also allows me to stand back from the daily operations of the business and focus my time, as Chairman, exclusively on client work.
