Orchard Street Appoints Barney Rowe

Orchard Street Investment Management LLP, a leading UK specialist commercial property investment manager, has appointed Barney Rowe as an Associate Partner and Fund Manager for its recently announced UK Special Situations Fund. Barney will head the UK Special Situations Fund launched by Orchard Street and an affiliate of GIC Real Estate in March 2008. The Fund invests in commercial property throughout the UK, and is currently in the market looking for the most attractive investments. It includes gearing up to two thirds of the total value, and will seek individual assets of between £15m and £50m.

Barney joins from Goodman Property Investors, where he has been responsible for a number of major international investor accounts. He brings to Orchard Street an established, successful track record as an Investment Manager and Account Manager, as well as a strong network of contacts in the property investment industry. He is expected to join Orchard Street in September this year.
