Orchard Street 15,000 sq ft Gildersome Spur Letting

13 February 2013

Orchard Street Investment Management, the specialist commercial property investment manager, has let a 15,000 sq. ft warehouse / industrial facility at Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate in Leeds to Alliance Disposables, a national supplier of non-food products. DTZ a UGL Company advised on the letting.

Alliance Disposables has relocated to larger premises from their existing site in Birstall to service the Yorkshire region and has signed a 5 year lease.

Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate is owned by Orchard Street’s client St. James’s Place UK plc and is the largest single owned industrial estate in Leeds, comprising 470,000 sq ft in total. The estate is strategically positioned adjacent to Junction 27 of the M62 / M621 Motorway providing superb access to both Leeds City Centre and the national motorway network.

Paul Mack, Associate Director at DTZ, comments:

“The completion of this transaction with Alliance Disposables further demonstrates the quality of the premises on offer at Gildersome Spur Industrial Estate. Alliance Disposables needed a modern and high specification facility in a location that offers direct access onto the national motorway network. A programme of extensive refurbishment and proactive marketing has again borne fruit and we are delighted to have landed another national brand name at the estate”.

Richard Walters, Associate Partner at Orchard Street commented,

“Following the completion of a comprehensive refurbishment in 2012, Gildersome Spur has attracted interest from a number of high quality tenants. This latest deal builds on the success last year when we let over 30,000 sq ft and is a great example of proactive asset management achieving results.

DTZ and Carter Towler are joint letting agents for the estate.
